Ladies golf attire (clothes) has undergone a drastic change since the early days when women were first allowed to pursue golfing.  The golf attire for the ladies of those days was uncomfortable and restrictive not to mention unattractive.
 
A blouse going all the way up to the chin, paired with a long skirt was bad enough but combined with stiff materials used for the garments, resulted in horrible golf wear for the ladies of that era.  Naturally, the ladies wearing this type of clothing were hindered with short and choppy swings.
 
Today you can still find some golf clubs, which carry some restrictions on clothes, but overall most have relaxed the rules.  It is always good to check ahead of time.  Some of the clubs, which do maintain restrictions, may even require ladies golf wear to be golf skorts and the required blouse.

When playing on the less restrictive courses, be sure to dress making comfort and ease of movement a priority.  Ladies golf attire should be reflective of the sun for summer time wear and always allows for sweat evaporation to occur.

Ladies be extra sure to wear a top that can accommodate a good supportive bra.  Make sure your top is snug enough not to interfere with your swing, but not so tight to interfere with breathing. In cooler weather conditions, start with a long sleeved top and layer a sweatshirt or light jacket over top of it, keeping in mind the same principles. 

For the bottom half, you should consider your comfort level, and naturally the season. For warmer weather practice sessions, shorts are fine, again keeping in mind the material and fit. Make sure your shorts are cut long enough to keep your thighs from chafing, with soft, breathable materials.

When playing golf or engaging in any outdoors activity, be sure to use sun-screen protection, which is non-greasy and non-staining.  Always carry a small tube of sun-screen protection in your golf bag, just in case you forget to put it on before leaving the house.  If you sweat quite a bit, you may need to reapply the sun-screen.

You don't have to spend a fortune on golf attire.  Plan a golf budget with your main concern being lessons and golf clubs.  Ladies, when choosing your golf clothes, make sure comfort and fit is your first priority.

When choosing a pair of ladies golf shoes, be sure to check what type of shoes are required or recommended on the course that you will be playing most often.  If it were a hilly or uneven course, then spikes would be the best golf shoes.

Just be sure the shoes you select are a good fit, breathable and comfortable.  There is nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes when playing golf.  Even if you are using a golf cart, there is still a lot of walking when golfing.
